Dcsoundlabs26 Posted January 3, 2014 Report Posted January 3, 2014 I am looking to build a wall for my 2008 Chevrolet HHR. It is going to be 2 18 inch SQ HDC4's or 2 18 inch DC Level 6 M3's (my mind is not completely made up. EIther way, I wanted to do a regular ported wall, with a low tuning possibly (25-32 again, if possible) with a driver side port. Here is what I have to work with: 48 inches in length from left side of car to the right side 42 inches of height from ceiling to base of wall 55 inches of depth from rear hatch to the back of the front seats Here are the specs on each woofer: Soundqubed HDC4 18 - Specifications Model HDC418-D1-A Woofer Size 18" Fs 40.37 Hz Vas 48.450 ltrs (1.711 cubic feet) Xmax 40mm Qms 6.053 Qes 0.478 Qts 0.443 Motor Weight 71lbs Coil Diameter 4.0" Coil Length 2.14" Useable Throw 2.75" RMS Power 2000 W Peak Power 6000 W Mounting Depth 9 3/4" Cutout Diameter 16 9/16" Model HDC418-D1-A DC Level 6 m3 18 - Mounting Depth 11.5" Mounting Hole Diameter 16.75" Outside Driver Diameter 18.5" Motor Width 9.84" Weight 85lbs VC Diameter 4" Displacement .26³ ft Magnet Weight 80lbs Power Handling RMS/Peak 4500/9000 Impedance (Ohm) D.7/D1/D1.4/D2 Sd 1217cm² Vas 67.02 liters Cms 0.0325mm/n Mms 588.52g Fs 36.4 BL 36.25N/A Re 4.02 Ohm Le 7.5mH Qms 22.43 Qes .0416 Qts .409 Xmax 31.25 mm Ref SPL @ 1 watt 90.7dB Suggested Sealed N/A Suggested Ported 6³ ft Thank you again to whomever can lend a nice design and a hand. Credit will be given where it is due of course in and out, or if you work for payment let me know, we can work something out asap. Just a side note, I am leaning toward the level 6 m3 18's and if that is the case, 10k rms will be in place of course. - Dennis 2 DC AUDIO Level 5 18s Carbon Fiber Dust Caps, Direct Leads, Stiffened Spiders Stinger SPV69, SPV70's (2) Stetsom 7KD Excelene 50+ feet 0g Welding Cable Soundstream 4.500 + JBL 1000.4 Cadence Mids + Earthquake Highs Clarion 507 BT + EQ All Stinger Parts/Adapters/ETC.
