Randall Simpson
I just ordered a DC 1.2k and I am trying to decide between 2 Level 2 12s or 1 Level 3 15 with upgrades. This will be in a daily driver (2014 Scion TC). Like SQ but would like for it to take your breath away. The 12s will have more displacement so I am kinda leaning that direction. CJ18
I would take a pair of Level 2 12s personally. More cone area will have more potential. http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/dc-audio-m2-level-12-p-241.html
Randall Simpson
Thanks for the quick responses. I listen to pretty much everything. Going ported...what would you suggest for box design? Winisd: 3 cubes @ 34 hz looks promising and 3 cubes @ 30 hz looks fairly flat across the spectrum
kryptonite
i have a lvl 4 12 on a 1.2k at 34 hz and she covers a decent range, not a basement dweller but she'll get low for some songs. I'd stick with 34 hz, just make sure you have a sufficient bracing in place and maybe a couple 45s in the corners to aid in air flow. CJ18
1.5ft3 net per sub with 15in2 of port per ft3 should do nicely. Tuning will be up to you, 32-35hz is a good range to be in.

Randall Simpson
Yeah I'm having my sound guy build this one for me. I've built boxes before but this guy is good and he is giving me a good price. The 15 and the 2 12's seem identical in winisd as far as frequency response. Can't wait to try out what DC has to offer. My systems have been mostly JL Amps and w1s w3s and a 12w7.
