Ruchab91 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 Hey Guys so I've allready got a Illusion Audio C12XL but have an option to pick of some shallow Mount C12's at half price. Just wondering if it would be a good idea to run 1 C12XL and 2 C12's in the trunk of a car or if mixing subs is a bad idea The C12XL is a 600wrms were the C12's are 400wrms also shallow mount thanks for any help.
ChevyBoy95 Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 you can mix subs when done right.... let me say again... when done right. but for the average user it is just a way to complicate things and possibly loose output rather than gain it. Not knowing what illusion audio is except for a quick search, if you want 2 shallows, do only 2 shallows and sell the other 12, or keep the 12 and dont get the shallows. do one or the other, not both. plus you get a cleaner install when you use all the same style subs rather than mix matching.
