4 DD3512s 4th order in trunk!

I don't think you understand what a 4th order is. Or understand what your equipment prefers.

Its nice equipment yes. Your last box was a ported box. Nothing like a 4th order.

You don't have enough space for those subs in a 4th... You MIGHT have enough for 2 or 3 of your subs in a ported box in your trunk but not 4.. And definitely not in a 4th.

Also tuning in the 30's with a 4th order is silly. Really low tuning would be like 40. And any bandpass box isn't simply "let me just toss a sealed box built to sub spec and a ported box built to sub spec and toss it together with some glue"

You might be best using some 9512's or 9912's on 4k+ in your trunk and pay for a box design by someone who is a bit more experienced.

Only reason I bring it up is I'd hate to see 6k in equipment just to see it fall on its face.

All top notch equipment and so far it looks great. What you do with your equipment is 100% your decision of course! I just feel like this is another "I want 4 12's in a trunk... I wanna run a 4th order... I wanna run .5ohms" like you hit every single point where, yes people do use those things but its because they understand what it is and the pros/cons of all of them.

After your done with this build, I honestly believe you will find different subs that like 4th orders better, and build a completely different closure, most likely for 2 HUGE 12's in your trunk. Or you will get 2 huge ass 15's and do a ported and sealed off from the trunk build. Everything else is top notch. I just think your sub stage and those 3 decisions I discussed earlier are more of a I wanna do it because I see it done thing. And those two other sub stage suggestions I mentioned would get you much better results.

I myself as an Impala owner, am really curious of how this is going to fit in that trunk. i really think your going to find it tuff to fit all that equipment in that vehicle. It will definitely have to be built inside the trunk.. I thhink you could get more from less. If it works out and looks good after everythings cleaned up give yourself a pat on the back man cause u will deserve it.

I appreciate it man...this is only like my 5th build...so I'm still learning..I think we can all learn from this build...see how they act in said enclosure and a couple other things...it could turn out great or bad..just like any other build...but I do appreciate your concern man.
