shivg23 Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Hello everyone, are there any special guide lines for building midrange boxes for mid bass and midrange tones?? any particular website or special software that can assist with this?
White Lightning Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Welcome to SMD Most midrange to midbass drivers are designed to run "Free air" to aid with "ease of installation" ... Now if you have the room actually build enclosures for them ... the more ability you have to actuallly "tune" your drivers ... My 6.5" midbass drivers love a ported and tuned 40 htz enclosure ... But then again, I do have a but ton of amplifier power on them too ... hope this helps ... bushroot Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 If you're looking to design an enclosure, Bass Box Pro from Harris Tech is a decent start.
