wetapoo
Ok my problem is when i add to the port length the "Physical port length" drops this is what it looks like when i add an inch It shouldn't just magically get shorter right? Jessica
edit. when you made the port longer it made it have a bend in it. /edit It is showing you the first wall of the port, it doesnt show the length of the second part because there are too many ways to do it. Read the very first post in the torres thread for a better explanation. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Jessica
i just woke up, but if you add port width to that you get 13.5 + baffle and that = 14.25 so it looks right to me. Skullz
As strangeduck said it added it but forced the port to bend skewing the whole tuning of the box, either increase the port size for a shorter or longer port that isn't so close to the corner. You can also use a round port to achieve the same results as square and rectangular ports. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
Skullz
In your second picture if you look at the depth of the box to length of the port it puts the port too close to the back wall and needs to bend to achieve the same port width for the entire length. When your that close to the back wall, you either have to port it out the side or change the dimensions of the port to make the bend or stay far enough away from the back wall. Hope that helps clear any confusion you may have. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
wetapoo
But why would the it go from 12.5 inches to 10 that doesn't make any sense..... I'm just trying to get my cuts right and I'm pretty sure that number shouldn't drop
wetapoo
Shouldn't my port be 3.5 in away from the back wall? If so my port length shouldnt be 10in
