L36, 3800II Alternator Upgrade.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, over here in Australia there isn't many choices for off the shelf alternator upgrades, even bigger 150A+ alternators!

Just wondering if there is any off the shelf 150A+ GM L36 3800II NON SUPERCHARGED alternators off the shelf over there? I'll post up some pics of mine and dimensions if anyone can help out :)

Only reason for this is because I'm rebuilding my setup this year and will be running around 9K total and have around 885AH and close to 6,000CCA total :D

Comparing to a L36 engine in the US, only big difference is the Inlet Manifold.

Some dimensions on specs I've found about it.

Adj Hole Diameter: 1 x M10

Pivot Hole Diameter: 1 x 11mm

Adj Hole To Pivot Hole: 150

Mounting type: J180 Twin leg

Pulley Diameter: 61mm

Pulley Type: Multi groove 6V

Regulator: Internal Foot to Foot: 50.5mm

So yeah, if anyone can help me out at all it will be much appreciated!!

Thanks for looking :)
