skappascrap
Hey guys, over here in Australia there isn't many choices for off the shelf alternator upgrades, even bigger 150A+ alternators! Just wondering if there is any off the shelf 150A+ GM L36 3800II NON SUPERCHARGED alternators off the shelf over there? I'll post up some pics of mine and dimensions if anyone can help out Only reason for this is because I'm rebuilding my setup this year and will be running around 9K total and have around 885AH and close to 6,000CCA total Front pic of mine on the engine. Comparing to a L36 engine in the US, only big difference is the Inlet Manifold. Side on view. Close picture of the only marks on the alternator. Rear View, positive terminal stud is tiny Voltage Regulator. Front on view out of the car. Some dimensions on specs I've found about it. Adj Hole Diameter: 1 x M10 Pivot Hole Diameter: 1 x 11mm Adj Hole To Pivot Hole: 150 Mounting type: J180 Twin leg Pulley Diameter: 61mm Pulley Type: Multi groove 6V Regulator: Internal Foot to Foot: 50.5mm So yeah, if anyone can help me out at all it will be much appreciated!! IzZy2Loud4U
do you have any trucks over there with the ad244 gm truck alt, if so that would work with minor mods that can be purchased on ebay. just search 3800 ad244 swap on google. i'm lucky, both my car and truck can take this swap.
