katastrophi Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Hi, im getting my q2-200 soundqubed amp today and decided to pull the trigger on my friends bnib hertz esk165L.5 comp set. I have a pioneer 80prs. My question is should i keep the existing speaker wiring ran to my current stock speakers, or pull it all and re run new wiring? Also as i dont currently have subs right now should i do a big 3 upgrade? It may be a while before i get subs/amp, so im thinking of holding off for now. Also can someone suggest a good company for deadner and a wiring kit ill need for my component/amp set up, id really appreciate it. Sorry to be a bother im new to this so i rather do it right than waste time/money. Thanks much for your time Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-80PRSSpeakers: Hertz esk 165l5<p>Amp: Soundqubed Q2-200
TRON Posted February 6, 2014 Report Posted February 6, 2014 Wiring kits = CE Auto Electric suplly. Tony will hook you up right. Deadening = depends on your budget. Sonic Electronix has lots of options. Do you have large gauge power wire to do a big 3 upgrade? If not, you could always buy a roll from Sky High Car Audio (really well priced) and that would do you for your big three and hooking up your new amplifier. Wouldn't hurt to run new speaker wire. Besides if you're using an aftermarket amplifier for your doors you pretty much have to. Avalanche Alpine Type S comps Alpine Type S 10'' Alpine MPR-F300 Alpine MRX-M50 Mechamn 270 XS Power d3400s
katastrophi Posted February 6, 2014 Author Report Posted February 6, 2014 I have all the wire i need at my disposal i work for a staging company setting up concerts etc. So i have plenty of amazing quality 2/0 1/0 guage cable as well as speaker cable im just not entirely sure if itll make a huge difference being that i only have a component set up now and not sure when ill decide to get subs/amps etc. As for price range for deadner there really isnt one just want good quality i wont be doing competitions its just a daily driver. Just not entirely sure about the cabling in a car compared to a concert rig. Reason im looking for amp wiring or speaker wiring i highly doubt there is just want to make sure im doing this all right as its my first time messing with car audio.
