hey guys and gals!

i've been looking to upgrade from my crappy factory door speakers for awhile now and have finally gotten around to doing it. only problem.... i really dont know crap about mids and highs...

so after some ( ok just alittle bit) of research, ive selected some crescendo cz series 6.5" 2 way...

but honestly dont know if that is even what i'm after lol..

http://store.crescendoaudio.com/cz-series-6-5-2-way/

just running off of HU power for the time being ( friend has my mid amp. sundown sax 100.4)

so for the time being, do i just drop these in and run new wires to headunit? What on earth is that little box for and do i use it? sit on it?

thanks for the help and sorry for being totally lost!

( like to stay around the price of the cz series if possible )

Those little boxes are passive crossovers, they make it so your speakers and tweets only play certain frequencies.

It makes for better quality and can save the equipment it's connected to (Tweeters don't like bass)
