DD-1 and O-scope way different
boostin302 replied to Yzf7steve's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
where you using the same 40hz and 1k hz 0db tracks as you did a few years ago? or the one supplied with the DD-1? Its possiable that the tracks you used a few years ago, weren't true to what they were suppose to be. ( correct me if i'm wrong) also, Could the headunit slowly lose its preformance over time? ( i dont know honestly) -
Just to let everybody know, i took the alt to a shop that could do a load check on it ( load bank up to 800amps) and it tested out PERFECT!!!. Had them clean the case up and it is working beautiful in my car. Thanks again jason.

here ya go Steve. got a bottle of tequila that's about 24 years old (give or take 2 years). 80 proof, never opened and worm on bottom still. growing up i always remembered seeing this bottle in my grandparents cabinets, usually way in the back behind the cereal. story behind it is my grandmother never believed that a worm can come in a tequila bottle so my grandpa and dad drove to either Mexico or Texas to get this. ( That's what i was always told) i just have it sitting in the cabinet. might open it one day to have a toast to old memory's to my grandpa. has Mexico liquor bottle molded on the bottom and the numbers 8 and 7 there under it.

if your wondering about the subs, they are 12 inch treo SSX subs. grossly under rated at 2000 watts RMS. ran the port through the rear deck. port measures out at 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 (outside specs) i made a cover to go under the rear deck lid cause i didnt like how it looked. i also resin'd the underside of the deck lid cover so it wasnt such a pieace of shit.. i'll be making a new custom one soon out of plywood. the cover also helps seal off the trunk. under the cover is alot of expandable foam here it is all done before i sealed off the trunk.

i made my own buss bar. 1/8 steel plate. edges grinded down so they dont cut the wire jacket. these will be replaced this coming winter with alum buss bars made a fuse bracket that bolts to the power steering fluid resivor. painted it yellow to match the car. holds the 2 fuse holders for the 2 pos runs from front batt to second batt. and the 3rd one is for the alt. here is the amps. i have one on a rack i made on the side and the other amp is mounted on the sub box with rubber isolaters checking the Ohm load of the subs with some scrap wire

1/0 under the car, zip tied up out of the way. 2 runs of pos and neg from front battery to second battery final run of 1/0 under the hood and ready to be trimmed all 1/0 is soldered. over 30 1/0 soldering connections made checking for voltage lose. test fit on the second battery. i used expandable foam to hold the battery still in the battery box since it liked to slide around
