UMARTINEZ Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Hello guys, Im new to the forum and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or if its even possible on how to design a ported enclosure for 2 JL W7 13.5"s. Only problem is im trying to place the enclosure behind the 3rd row seats in my 2004 Navigator and im not sure if thats enough space available. dimensions available behind seats are; top depth......... 11" bottom depth.. 15" width............... 48" height .............17"

MACnonsence6 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 go with the specs by jl / u have more then enough space go get the pdf files for those woofers and pray like hell u never blow them cause there really fun to repair that coil gap damn near the thickness of a plastic binder divider not alot of room for error as ive already found out I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
Aj11 Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 id go twice the Size of jl specs. id do 3 cubes each net. at least if not 3.5 each but then again i don't know what amp your running. if you put them in anything smaller then 2cubic feet(each) net to me its just a waste jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
