Dax Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 I've never made a bandpass box before so any help would be great. I want to put it where the center console is in my 01 silverado crew cab if possible. Joshex Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Going to need the max dimensions for the box. Also are you using the gear that's in your signature? 95 Acura Integra - 5-speedNFG Pioneer FH-X700BT(2) Rockford Fosgate 12" P3AQ1200dRockford Fosgate P1652-S 6.5" components Rockford Fosgate P1572 5x7"Rockford Fosgate R400.4 95 Integra Build Here93 EJ2 Build Here
Triticum Agricolam Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Those drivers are a lot better suited for a 6th order than a 4th order, FYI. If you only have one driver you are going to be very hard pressed to come up with a design where you can actually fit the driver in the box due to the size constraints. Triticum Agricolam Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 A 4th order has one side of the cone sealed and the other side ported. A 6th order has both sides ported, but tuned to different frequencies. Both are difficult to design and build. Both will often require more than one attempt to get right.
