mgbadboyz Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 The headunit is different. Im using a double din now instead. The converter is just to retain onstar and backup sensors/blinker chimes. How big does placement of the sub play in a truck? I have it facing forward against the back of the passanger seat with the port up by the head rest facing forward as well. Or is that one of those "your preference" kind of things.
mgbadboyz Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 Idk if im explaining it properly. Its not a constant clip or distortion. Imagine a 3 second bass tone. That first 0.1 second of bass where the sub starts to move, theres just a slight pop. The rest of the bass frequency is fine. *sorry for double post*
jarrius Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 I would check all connections to your amp and your head unit. If all those are good check your rca's and make sure they are tight and check your wiring to the converter to make sure it's all tight also. I'm kinda stumped to be honest tho from what your explaining. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
jarrius Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 As for sub and port placement yea it's all in what you want. But make sure that the sub is not hitting the back of your seat. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
mgbadboyz Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 It has about two inches of clearance while flexing.
