Help with alternator guys!

Ok so i went to beef up my alternator locally i went 220amp the thing i stayed with stock overdrive pulley what would be the smallest pulley i can go with so i can get the power quicker in idle?

Alternator works but guy told me you are gonna get full potential around 1800 rpm and above help will be apreciated

Oh sorry this is for a tahoe 2004 5.3

You could do a smaller pulley but you may have to have either the pulley or the case machined to be able to do so
