Anybody have a easy way to test polarity from my amp. I tapped into the factory wires behind my head unit for my door speakers 2 years ago and cannot remember what i found for +/-. Could I hook up the speaker and use a d or 9v battery at the amp?

Them: "Why does my amp keep cutting out?"

Me: "What is your ohm load?"

Them: "What's an ohm load?"

You can pop the speakers with a 9v battery or you can look up the color code on the interwebz and assume. If you get something out of phase, you'll know it.

your not gonna blow a speaker with a 9v battery it will just move in or out depending on if you have the + to the + on the battery out would be normal in would be reverse

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
