Hey guys first post,

Ive built an amtuer system in my 02 wrx its got a single rockford p3 on 1300 watts from a rockford 1200d and two 6.5 t1 coax in the back and t2 components up front, built my own sealed box for the p3 so i have a small amount of audio experience. Im preparing for my next build in my 1987 bmw 325is, and i want to built a narley system for it. So i was wondering if you guys could shoot me some links too some good info to start researching more in depth on car audio. Like how subs work, how amps work and what the parts inside actually do, just a bunch of basic info so i can get the ball rollin. There's so much info on this site i dont even know where to start.

Thanks in advance guy really appreciate it.

Welcome to Audio, first off it's good that you're asking questions. For every build I do I always do a ton of research, whats being done, how its being done, what I can I do different. Things are pretty simple when it goes into prep and installation. Make sure you do things right the first time instead of cutting corners. I did a lot of research on youtube and tech articles, forums and the like.

Here's a tidbit: http://www.bcae1.com/spkrmlti.htm. This site is a great site for wiring. There are many ways to wire and many different types of speakers and subs out there. This guide tells you how to properly wire your components with regard to ohms and amp outputs, also helpful links to other sites.

If you think you're ready for a real challenge and sense of accomplishment, look into custom fiberglass . . . I haven't looked back.

Good Luck.
