i do not want to jack this thread but am having a problem is a hissing noise in my car stereo setup as well. i am running a top of the line alpine headunit ( i can get you the model number is you need it ), CT-Sounds 1400.1 ( for Rockford t1 subs ), Ct-Sounds 125.4 ( Jl audio C5 mids, and Rockford Pro 8 Inch ), JL audio 300/4 ( for Jl Audio ZR1 and C5 tweeters and Jl audio 6x9 ), and a Helix DSP processor. i did not have any problems with winning until i hookup the processor. i ran the system as active off the amplifiers for 2 days before installing the processor with no problems. positive leads from the battery all run down the passenger side while the RCA's and Remote run down the drivers side. the hissing noise is most noticeable in the tweeters but can also be heard slightly in the mids. i am running to sets of JL audio tweeters wired down to 2 ohms each side as well as 2 Sets of Jl audio mids wired down to 2 ohms on each side for my front stage. i am also running jl audio 6x9 and Rockford 8 inch pros in the back. i do not get any buzzing or noise from the subs. i tried grounding the rca's to the head unit today and that helped but still have noise. all my grounds are either to the strut mounts in the rear ( made sure all surfaces are taken down to bare metal ) or to the rear batteries. rear batteries are also ground to the rear struts. i used the DD-1 to set all my gains soldered all my power and ground wires making sure to use protective jackets and electrical tape to insure no wire was showing. my last thing to try is running the head units power wire directly to the battery and grounding the head unit to the frame instead of using the stock wiring harness. i have not done this yet do to the fact that i havent had this problem before installing the processor. i have done as much research as i can and have read all the threads i could find about this problem and still can not figure it out. i am not using cheap RCA's i use good power and ground wires. i did not pinch any cables and tried to keep RCA's as far away from power wire as possible and this am having a problem i do not want to use isolators for the RCA's because that is only masking the problem any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.
