ncc74656 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I have been having a hard time finding a signal processor, can anyone point out some good options for me? it seems that most companies no longer make reasonable processors. I am looking for something in the 200.00 range if possible with 6 channels that can be configured for high and low pass filters, sub sonic on at least one of them, separate EQ's on each channel (or pairs) with maybe 9 bands each? perhaps i could do with less. I also would like time alignment if possible. I am open to using a head unit but again i have a hard time finding head units with such capabilities that are not old eclipse or alpine from years past. if i do go with a head unit, in addition to the above listed i would want USB support, HD radio, aux in, and a decent amount of preamp voltage. thoughts? nothing, gutted
ncc74656 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 the only product i see that they have is the DQDX that might fit my application. i was sort of hoping for a digital interface, isnt the old POT driven EQ rather old and dated? nothing, gutted

ncc74656 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 i was looking at there 2X8 for like 350.00. im fine with spending more i suppose if it gets me all the features. what i dont get is i have a 7.2 yahama receiver here at home and its got all these features and more as well as an amp and it was less than 400.00. why is it so expensive to have a pre amp level cross over and EQ? if i end up buying a head unit ill sell theone i have now for 100 bucks so subtract that from the cost. as for minidsp i had heard that they often have an immense amount of noise and distortion to them so they are not a good choice for car audio. edit: i would like to be able to select my own cross over points (not just hit a switch for high/mid/low) and i would also like to be able to select my own frequency center for each EQ bar. so as to not be stuck with 80/500/1KHz and so on. id like ot be able to have say 20/50/65/85/120 for sub and 50/80/120/225/300 for mid bass, and so on. not that those are the exact frequencies i want but just that id like the option to select frequencies as i need vs have them hard set on the unit. nothing, gutted
