jaimeismadcool Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I have a 12 inch NVX sub woofer and i am not sure what size box to get for it, i don't know much about this kind of stuff. the manufacturer recommended box size is 1.25 cubic foot ported, i don't think that a 1000 watt rms sub should be in a box that small. what is the difference with box tuning. I want it to hit lows good.
jarrius Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Try posting in the correct section for one. But 2 if the manufacture says 1.25 cubes then use 1.25 cubes. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole

jaimeismadcool Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 i don't know where to post it. And what size box should i build for it and have it tuned to, i want it to sound good all around and hit lows good
jarrius Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Not to sound like a dick but there is a section named subwoofer/enclosure's for a reason lol. Now build a box 1.2 cubes after all displacements and tune it to about 35hz. That should give a nice range for all music.
Dude2800 Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 The smaller box will play a wider range and peak at a higher frequency. They say to tune it to 25hz. I say build it to spec. It oughtta get down. http://www.nvx.com/media/manuals/VCW.pdf
afrakes Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 Agreed. Just build to specs. Do uchave any experience with woodworking or tools or anything of the like? Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT Head Unit: Pioneer DEH- Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front) Subs/Amps: TBD
