meade916
Product: Avic N1 DVD Navigation Manufactured by: Pioneer Purchased/recieved from: Audio Express (2004) Cost paid: $1800 ive had this deck for 4 years now and very little problems. The navi was good in the beginning but it had problems with the nav disc not being very accurate in some places. Pioneer sent me 2 different updated Nav discs since the original and it seems to work great ever since. I have had a few problems though. Sometimes it doesnt want to play certain CD's. Not that it CANT (due to format issues), sometimes it just doesnt want to. I mainly use the Ipod/ipod interface so its no big deal but just a little annoying. Also, one of the issues was the flip not flipping anymore. One day i put it in because i roll like that with it retracted most of the time. Well it didnt want to come back out and didnt for 2 weeks. Finally it did and is working again. then there is the noise issue. This thing has fans in it and it seems like i can hear them sometimes but its hard to tell if its the fans themselves or if its being induced into the system. Its not that bad but a purist would be potentially bothered by it. Once music is playing you cant hear it. Sometimes if the face's "contact points" are a little dirty, the deck will tend to shut off and reset (as if you were removing the face while it is on). Just jiggle it a little and its fine....but annoying. This deck doesnt start skipping CD's till AFTER 155db (new TL) so i cant bitch too much about that! Even then it rarely skips. Over all i still give the deck good scores, i like it. performance: 8 Reliability: 7.5 manufacturer support: 8 features (for its time (2004)): 9 satisfaction with purchase: 8 over all i give it the Pioneer Avic N1 a solid 8 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel!
