Digital media receiver with high pass filters

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to put together an inexpensive system for my son. I'm just going to run the door and rear deck speakers off head unit power, so I need a digital media receiver with high pass filters.

Does anyone know of one?

Brand doesn't really matter, it just needs high pass filters and one set of pre outs. The cheaper the better.

Thanks for any help!

The JVC KD-X200 has a Low pass filter where you can route signals under a given frequency to a sub connected via the RCA's. Or so it says in the manual, I haven't got any first hand experience with it so I can't confirm it or not.

Plus it's JVC, which means it might share some circuitry in common with it's Kenwood cousin, and it's CEA compliant so you should get the rated 20x4 RMS out of it. Also, 24 bit DAC.

Anyways, it's as cheap as 62 bucks (shipping included), and with a 24 bit DAC, it probably sounds pretty good.

Pretty sure the Sony DSX-300 has um and probably the others in DSX series as well.
