dannyjdm Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 I currently have a Sundown SA-15 D2 in a prefab box tuned for"32hz" wired to a Hifonics 1200.1. This is powered by a Optima Yellow Top with stock alt. I used 4 gauge Knu wiring and already did the big 3. My questions 1. My voltage drops to 11.7v at BIG bass drops. Planning on getting high performance alt. and a 2nd battery. Which do you guys recommend? 2.What is my sub wired to? 1OHM,2OHM, or 4OHM? The wire from the amp going to the sub is connected to the first set of + and - than a second wire goes from the first +,- to the second +,- 3.Want to make a second box. Currently have a side ported box with the sub facing into the cab and have my back seats removed. The specs of the box are 17Lx28Wx17H Gross volume 4.6 Net Volume 3.51 tuned to 32Hz. The box I want to make has to be front port or slot(dont know the difference) and want it to hit really low. If you can help me in the right direction. THANKS in ADVANCE!
Guest Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 is that 11.7v when the car is idling? if so, never play full tilt while idling. the alt is barely outputting any power at that rpm.
