Sean Stan Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 High I was looking in getting a new dc audio 18 and you can pick the spider you want. What's the difference between a soft medium and very stiff spider. Does a stiff spider handle lower frequencies better?
MACnonsence6 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 very stiff would give a higher fs better for burps and comps. softer would have a lower fs better on music and getting low someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure thats the general idea I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
Sean Stan Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 So a very stiff spider would do me better for burps? It'll still give me the lows just not as low as if I got a medium spider
