FuriousG Posted March 22, 2014 Report Share Posted March 22, 2014 I'm assuming you haven't checked for DTC's seeing as there has been no diagnosis besides lottery attempts. That would be a great place to start. You could have a lot of things happening, especially that engine. Cam actuator may be stuck or sticking(change your oil often?), phaser solenoid could be sticking or screens could be covered in crap (if the screens are even there anymore). Crank end play could be excessive, you'd lose ignition timing, and mechanical timing may be out depending on chain. I've seen a lot of melted battery feeds at C201, drops ignition signal intermittently. Broken wiring inside insulation to TAC motor. Low fuel condition, exacerbated by broken/missing baffles in fuel tank, does it start normally after stall? Start normally cold? Could be excessive carbon on valves..... Basically it could be a multitude of different things, find a shop that will scan for history DTC's for you. Otherwise it's more shotgun work. I had someone scan it with a tech 2 and I got a evap code a lost of communication with BCM and PCM.
