If I remember correctly, To remove the back seats it was only two bolts holding the backrest. You remove the bottom part, then there is two bolts holding it in. then you just pull down from the top of the backrest and it's out .

I also have an 86 that I'm restoring, What are your plans for this car? it's a fun and comfortable car to drive for sure.

god damn, thats some serious upgrades on your caprice, why did you stop?

anyway, I said Im not going to do much just restoring the car interior and change the alternator and the distributor, clean the engine too.
