CHEVY DIY
I discovered some problems In the car and I would like to get some help: The left turn signal on the dash board is stuck (green arrow) and not blinking but when I turn it on It goes normally on the dash, another thing thats the temperature gauge is stuck at 100 as you can see in the pictures, and the windshield wipers keep going on and I cant stop them. thats all for now , Also I had a trouble with removing the back seat (back) theres a screw down there but when I try to take it off it keeps spinning ... so I couldnt remove it. umm about the front seats, I couldnt remove the driver seat because I couldnt see the screws at the back I did the front 2. boom50cal
Jordan, cool to have a member from Jordan How are you planning to restore the car? Like as it came from the factory? Or kind of custom with your own touches, fixing and improving things along the way? The turn signal is on a relay, it's probably defective. Find it and replace it, problem solved. Temp gauge can be replaced with an aftermarket fairly easily. I guess since you are on an audio forum, you plan to upgrade the stereo system in the car too. So the v-belt setup will have to be replaced in favor of a serpentine belt setup. Well, not necessarily HAVE to be replaced, but it opens up options on a charging system more than with a v-belt. FLA813DOVER
and the wipers.check for a ground strap/wire going to the wiper motor. i know on some fords if that ground gets messed up the wipers wont stop.......if all else fails try a new ignition/key switch. good luck 88 ranger xlt ext cab HU. jvc bluetooth/usb deck mids/highs. 2 earthquake 5s. 2 earthquake 6s and 2 Cadence CVLT-60 tweets subs. 2 Addictive audio V4 12s SAZ3000D SAX100.2 alt. 135 amp ford mustang batt. deka G31 1131MF box. 4 cubes 30-34hz rims. black 13x7 100 spokes with chrome knock offs. tires. 155/80r13.milestar touring se real billet grille not a bolt on.
