1two3 Posted March 30, 2014 Report Share Posted March 30, 2014 i keep reading different things box sizes. a bigger box is better for low tuning or if ur giving it more power than rated or less i cant even remember anymore. im looking to design a box for my ssa xcon 15 and what im wondering about is why on their recommendations for ported it says 3 - 3.25 cubes and optimal 4 cubes? id perfer to keep it smaller if it doesnt hurt nuthing. im going for sq/spl tuning at 33hz giving it probably around 1200rms Car: 2000 Honda CRV Battery: XS Power D5100R Alternator: Stock 90A Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS Front Speakers: Alpine Type S Rear Speakers: JBL GTO 628's Wires: All Knu 4g.
