dave44485
Like the topic says, I want to hook my home receiver (Sony STR-DG820) up to a DJ style pro amp. Audio will be exiting via the Subwoofer RCA jack. I tried hooking it straight up with a RCA to XLR cable and barely got any audio with the amp turned all the way up. I'm thinking the amp might not be getting enough power. I was told by a mail order company that i need a DI box to go in between the receiver and the amp. The company and amp are going to remain nameless to avoid any possible flaming. Any ideas if the DI box will work or if another route will be needed to get audio out of the amp. dave44485
I got a Behringer mixer today (QX1002USB) today and after a little tinkering with the knobs it did the trick.
S15_Silvia
I used a Kicker KX2(?) crossover/line driver with an RCA to XLR adapter as a quick and dirty way of getting audio to my QSC amp. It worked for house parties. 2016 Subaru BRZ | Sony XAV-AX100 | Rockford Fosgate DSM 4080 & DSM 40ix | On 6/6/2012 at 6:32 PM, 'LZTYBRN' said: 3.
