Barnett 313 Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 I have 4) Rockford T1 12'' the new ones, I want to build the enclosure so I can use it in the Yukon XL or the SS TrailBlazer when I drive that one. I want it to hit hard in both trucks, the thing is what size enclosure do I go with a 8cft or 11.8cft and what should the port be tuned to 32 or 37HZ ? I have the power to push them, I sold the 2) Belva BB3000D amps I had both new in the box. And came across 4) Audiopipe APSM2000 Amps from the same guy. So I'm putting 2) APSM2000 amps in each truck for the box.
Barnett 313 Posted April 14, 2014 Author Report Posted April 14, 2014 Hey Joe X, the max dimensions for the Yukon xl is 48 1/2''W x 36''H floor to ceiling x 30''D. But im only going up to 20''H for the window line. The SS Blazer is 44''W x 34''H x 28''D, the window line for that one is 18''H.
Joe X Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 There's space some issues with the SS Blazer, (none with the Yukon), I know some have to 46W, just see if you can get some extra space, also, the 28D is right at the hatch?

And its like 30''D to the hatch, that's why I was saying 28D. Because I know you need like what 2 to 3'' from the port to the hatch or am I wrong?

Barnett 313 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Ok joe I'll give it ago, so that's 2 to 2 1/2 sheets of MDF? Oh the amps power rated 4000 (RMS) @ 2 Ohm strap together. The Amps are 4 AudioPipes APSM-2000, 2000W (RMS) each amp. Each truck will have 2 of the amps, and I hear you on the 4 1/2'' of clearance. THANKS
Barnett 313 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Joe X thanks for the design, you said you would go bigger. How much bigger are you talking, like making the box much taller? And what kind of db do you think I can get like 147-150db or more with this setup? One last thing, do you have one more box design just in case?
Joe X Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 I could increase some height to improve efficiency a little with no negative side effects but in the end one can not make a prediction of X dB in a particular setup, the quality of you power an deadening, proper gains setup all play a role, also if this is going to be used in two different vehicles, you will get different results in each one.
