But with the DDM, there should be a 0.3-0.5 Ohm resistance put into the circuit when touch them together. Unless you know that guy has a DDM that he is able to zero out the reading with the two probes touching prior to taking the speaker reading. I always check the resistance of the DDM I am using, than test a sub and subtract and the

diff. is the actual ohms. This comes into play when you get crazy ass readings.

Anyhow, with the resistance that I mentioned, you would have

2.5 - 0.3 to 0.5= 2.2 to 2.0 Ohm resistance.

2.7 - 0.3 to 0.5= 2.4 to 2.2 Ohm resistance.

Both are closer to 2 Ohm.

Case in point: Here is a sub I will be selling. This is the sub that started out the ohm bass thing for me. :D Rockford Fosgate RFD-1210. Dual 4 Ohm, in series makes it 2 Ohm like you're components.

Now see the 2.4 reading.....the probes connected was found to be 0.3 Ohm resistance. So when you get a 2.4-0.3= 2.1 Ohm load resistance. People who know how to buy subs on Ebay, will specifically ask for the Ohm reading. Decent Ebay sellers will provide the same thing to ensure that sale. ebaysubs4005_zps0619c7f7.jpg
