I had a conversation with the assistant manager of the store, and we got to talking about car stereos and I took the opportunity to show off my mechman alternator and wiring setup (big three) and he asked me why I did that for. I replied its physics and laughed. He then proceded to claim that with his stock charging system on an 89 jeep Cherokee, armed with a 4 gauge amp kit, boss 2500 watt amplifier, and 2 rockford fosgate p2 12's in a tiny sealed enclosure that he could consistently hit 175db. Lol! I mean I have been told some whoppers in my lifetime but really? I mean wtf was this guy thinking. I guess I must have stupid written across my forehead, that or he has discovered the holy grail of free unfueled energy in the form of a stock 100 amp alternator and a sound quest 4 gauge amp kit. Lol. I'm not dissing any brands, those are descent choices, but not 175db choices. Anyone else hear any outrageous, obviously retarded claims? Let me hear them!
