HopenCagen Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 so after blowing my 12" kicker i got a 10" sub from my friend, even though its a home audio sub probably not the best but i think its pretty decent it can take a beating thats for sure... i made a converstion peice for the 10" to fit into the 12" hole, it aint pretty at all but it gets the job done when i did it i threw it all togeather and i meant to seal off the air leaks and didnt get around to it until today, HOLY SHIT does sealing off air leaks make a difference, i saw stupid for assuming it wouldnt but now im actually getting more flex than before and the sub seems to hit a little lower than my 12, cant be fully sure though the decaf songs around 32-40Hz is where it hits best (box is tuned to 32hz anyway) but im pretty impressed with such a small thing making such a big difference, if anyone is wondering its a Klipsche 10" Sub (http://www.klipsch.com/ksw-10-subwoofer/details) i know its for home audio but when my friend was driving with me and i blew the sub he felt bad and gave me that one just being a good friend, its rated @ 225RMS but im running it at around 450RMS it puts up pretty well, thing gets pretty hot but im suprised with the performance, gotta wait till i get a new vehicle for a new system im excited. all and all im completely impressed !
