I picked up a Sundown SAX100.4 for $120.00 used and I am very pleased. I have had issues with 4 channel amps taking a dump on me for the past couple years but this one is tough

I'm picking up a Memphis 16MC4.125 off a trade in a couple of days. Its puts out 125watt rms x 4 @ 4ohm, 180watt rms x 4 @ 2ohm, and 380watt rms x 2 @ 4ohm bridge. Let me know if you're interest. Its a huge mofo.

These are good amps, anyone trying to tell you different has not run them. Had mine for 3 yrs now with no issues. And the first thing people say about my system is how good it sounds.

You're probably right, but it's just never was real impressed by Pioneer amp's.I know first of I'm on a budget, but I've heard and seen budget amp"s that where pretty good.

I would agree with you on most pioneer amps. But the GM-D series are legit. Think about how most guys on here run Pioneer head units and think they are the shit. I personally dont like the sound quality of them and prefer clarion over the pioneer. But as far as the amp goes, i have no problem with the pioneer GM-D series.

Just my opinion.

soundqubed, crescendo, image dynamics, there are still a few old boston acoustics floating around on the internet. I have a infiniti kappa 4 channel in my truck that has lasted 2 years, no problems, barely gets warm and is super clean. All of them have amps for 400 or less

1994 Ford bronco

Infininti kappa 4 channel driving a pair of reference 6.5s and a pair of 6x8 kappas

downfiring console w/ a pair of image dynamic 8s on a memphis 250.1

1999 Honda Civic Si

front doors- image dynamics ctx 6" coaxial with ID tweets

Back deck- Image Dynamics ctx 6x9" coaxials

Bass- PSI platform 1 12" in a 4th order tuned to 39hz

Amps- CT sounds 60.4 highs and mids, Ampere Audio 1k bass

Power- Big 3 upgrade, second juicebox 50ah battery, sky high 1/0, skyhigh battery terminals

Spend as much as possible on a good amp. Look for it being CEA Compliant, as it makes the manufacturer responsible for that product putting out the rated power that they publish! Several manufacturers sell both Compliant and non-Compliant amps. They try to get money from people who want to buy cheap without checking........... if they are CEA Compliant. Hifonix x1200.4 is CEA compliant (150x4) Hifonix Jupiter four channel is not!
