Edgare50
I currently have 3 american bass xr 10s running them on enclosure in trunk facing up tuned to 33hz sounds good for 10s and get low (door flexing, windshield flexing) I've never heard a wall until yesterday and that thing pushed a shit load of air 4 15s about 4k or so so this person told me why i don't build a sealed wall, or as many might say "trunk wall" which many say it isn't a wall where i can see why they say that but i was wondering, will my system sound louder if i sealed it? or should i keep it the way it is? I'm just wanting to get loud, i have good electrical and still improving it saving for a soundqubed 3500 thanks 2 Soundqubed SQ1-2200D 1 Soundqubed Q4-120 4 American Bass VFL 65MR 2 American Bass HD 15's 2 American Bass MX-250T 2 American Bass MX-252T 4 XS Power XP950 Tons of Sky High Car Audio Cable "Do a proper install, something your happy with, Fuck everyone else...... improve in time, where you can..... its not rocket science..." P4killer_
Subs up in a trunk is imo usually the quiest arrangement. Were talking about the meter numbers here not how it sounds. So you can def gain imo. The problem becomes what can you fit when you dont put subs up? Can you go 3 wide, or 3 long etc. As far as trunk walls as some ppl call it, imo generally they are louder yes, but in my personal experience it wasnt. Some ppl dont gain, some do. It involves subs and port firing forward into the cabin as close as possible to the cabin opening. And sealing as much as possible around the box to prevent annnny air getting into the trunk. The idea is to keep alll the preasure in the cabin. If you dont compete or have a termlab or care what numbers it does then, it doesnt really matter. Do w.e sounds best to you. You wont notice a huge increase in sound really to the ear just by rearranging your subs. You may if you seal it off notice a difference in flex or air movent, it might hair trick better ish, but it wont be incredibly louder.
