Colin - STAPUFT Posted May 28, 2014 Report Share Posted May 28, 2014 I've looked but I seem to suck with the search bar and at GOOGLE - I KNOW I have seen photos posted on the forum before on what the different parts of an amplifier do. I don't mean gain knobs and fuses, I mean the fets, resistors, caps, coils, so on... and more than that, the placement of them on an amplifier board. I am SUCK at looking at schematics, I need pictures of real amps with lay-terms of different parts of the amp. I'm about to jump into some work on some A/B class 2 channels I've gotten- and I want to educate myself before I take the soldering iron to things. I can see the easy stuff- loose capacitors, burnt resistors, popped polyester film capacitors, burnt and damaged traces... but those could be the symptom and not the problem. Any pictures or links would be very much appreciated.
