lots of issues have been reported with the 3sixty.3's

Yes I see that now, after RossGo posted that I went to Google and did a search on it. But they it looks like a lot of them is do to wire running near other wires. I'll make sure not to run then anywhere near other wires. Going from the B pillar to the trunk is going to be fun as one side is power, ground and remote wires and the driver side is the rca's. Guess I'll have to run the remote cable with rca's cable probably my best bet, I have good sets of rca's cable so should be no interference.

Yes it does maybe he will see this thread and comment on if he had any problems with his 360.3.

He has said many times he has had no issues with any of the ones he has used in any of the cars he built or worked on.

I also know several people with them that haven't had issues. Just get it in before warranty expires haha

Not sure when I'll be installing it as I still have to buy a head unit, subs, bass amps and high amp. But I'll power it up over the weekend and see what happens.

So I got my 360.3 and starting to think about a deck.

If I would got with an iPad do I still need a use a deck?

Or is a deck good to have anyways.

I have an iPad dash and I went through all the options I could think of, and I settled on an 80prs.

While it seems like a waste to have a deck I don't use for anything other than a volume knob, it does give several advantages over a processor.

Cost is substantially lower

Volume knob is very easy

Dual USB allows me to use my iPad or phone as a source, and it simultaneously charges both. From what I'm told, the 360.3 can only pair to one BT source at a time without retraining (can't switch on the fly)

A processor can give a ton more options for tuning, but for most people it's unnecessary or overkill. I personally have always been content with passive setups. Never felt them to be lacking. I'm currently switching to fully active, and I know the 80prs has plenty of tuning options for my unknowledgeable ass. I think of my head unit as more of a dash mounted processor than a head unit.
