4th order walled Civic (DC/PSI 18's/CF 8K/ RF 360.3 UPDATES APRIL 24-2015

Thought I would shared my wall build, The Civic was bought to wall it off but wasn't planing on doing so till next summer so I started off with a no wall trunk build that lasted a few weeks after I was done. It had to go and started the wall, I on't have the weekends to work on it unless I get off work early.

Started off with 2 HDC3 12" on a pair of AQ 2200. Wasn't sealed off as the box was a temp box as I started to design a box.






Then got a good deal on a SSA Zcon 15" on a single AQ 2200 did a 143.9 @ 30Hz






Wasn't enough so it had to go



Let the fun begins

Don't mind the small 2 X 4's they were just to see how far I had to go with the floor till I reached the rear deck.








Filling in all the holes with wood filler.




First of 4 layers of mat.






All the seams got 2 layers of mat.



While the mat dryed I cut out two of the baffles.

Baffle one.



Then the fun began with sanding, sorry for the bad picture. First time I ever worked it the stuff and let me tell you I wanted to give up after a few hours. lol

Took a break from sanding and went out and got 2 more sheet of 3/4" mdf.

Then it was time for filler.

And some more sanding.

After the sanding was done it was time for resin, 1 coat of 3.

Phone died on me so I couldn't take any pictures but then I sanded once again, primed sanded and painted sanded and clear coat.

Cut out one baffles and will use that as a template for the other one with a flush trim bit.

Then test fit and looking good if I may say.

That's all I got so far, still have a ton of work left to do.

Started the port today, didn't have much time to work on it.

This is what I was bumping before I got the Civic to wall. Dodge Journey with 2 AQ HDC3 on a AQ2200 did a 147.9

Wanted more so I pick up a second AQ 2200 and built a new box and amp rack.

Then we found out we were excepting baby #4 and needed to put the 3rd row of seats back in. Never got a chance to install the new box and rack in the Journey cause it all came out. The wife told me to find a small car and do what I what to it, always wanted to try a build a wall so I started looking. Found the civic and it was on, had the civic 3 months and this is my 3rd build in it.

Port done and coat #1 of resin, when its dry will be sanding and then coat #2 will go on and one last coat after.

Did some more work of the last few days.

Got the port primed, painted and cleared.

Port and 2 baffles installed.

test fitting 3rd baffle, I couldn't hold it and take a picture so so its just sitting on the floor.

Making the 3rd baffle.

Sprayed some foam around the second baffle.
