So we got the box pretty much done last night.

Bolts sealed in place for the speaker wires

Bit of bracing in place and prepping the seal on the baffle.

Baffle on and trimmed. We placed the subs in to see what it looks like, trimming is still loose as it will probably be stapled down. There will be a trim panel on the front going around the port and don over the amp so what it looks like here isn't important.

Before the subs get bolted into place we need to add the speaker wire, but also there is some white LED's going inside the box so the port glows. Itching to get this playing now, hopefully by the end of the weekend it will be.

Ok so we have the box in and playing! For now the gain is conservatively set until the speakers run in, and i still have the big 3 to do but early indications are very positive, seems quite loud with not much sub movement especially around tuning, quite flat sounding too.

Still some tidying of cables to do, and there will be a trim panel on the front once we decide on an amp cutout design that will not have to be changed if we swap out amps. To the ear i'd say its definitely in the 140's, and plans are already afoot to upgrade the power!

Well the 3 x 12's are loosening up well, seems to be getting louder. I'd say by ear they are peaking around 38Hz but hopefully we'll get it metered soon at some point.

Next week i'll be starting the door builds for the 8" Ground Zero PA's, we haven't settled on a tweeter yet.

Finally managed to get a bit more done on the Saxo wall build. Started by boarding up the rear side windows and open area above the wheel arch. I'm going to mount some battens into this so i can block the gaps and it will also act as bracing. I'm going to leave a small channel open at the bottom each side for cable runs.

At this point the angle iron has been added, but i'm only building inside the car what i have to so i can make the templates for the panels that will help block up the gaps around the box, and to see where i can add bracing to the outside so i take up less space inside. When i'm happy with that, i'll start to put it in permanently.

So we finally got the carcass together and mounted the baffle to check the box was put together square, and to make sure it stays square while we put some bracing between the box and the side panels and roof of the car. I'm then going to mount 18mm mdf to these to block around the box in preparation for filling the void with foam.

Ok, bit more done. First pic shows the panel in the bottom which creates a channel underneath for cables, 2nd pic shows bracing added in the centre of the side panels. Both of these are screwed into through the sides of the box. Please excuse the wonky cuts and mess of tiger seal, my Bro' did this bit following my instructions. Still does the job!
