StreetMetalBen Posted June 10, 2014 Report Posted June 10, 2014 SO im working with this 10" horn Box that TravisFoster built a while back. It was a fun box to build, and i dont want to waste it. But the box has no control really. With a Dual 4 Fosgate HX2 10 on an alpine 250.4 4 channel and the sub seams to start bottoming out. It sounds like it being free-aired, inside a box. How could i calculate the size sealed portion i should add to the box? I really would like to try and salvage the box, beside space really inst the issue. I could built this as large as needed to sound like i want. The Box seems to roll off about 40HZ :-( even tho the subs beating away, you cant hear the notes. Im working on uploading pix of the box, along with a few sketchup shots. Great box for high HZ bass beats, and for country and rock. The notes that it does hit, sound REALLY tight and clean, but i really want to hear this thing play lowwwwer. ANbody ever experimented with hornes like this? In theory or Reality? lol
