Richiebailiff Posted June 10, 2014 Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 I have a massive audio hippo 15 on a d3600. I have zero gage running from front battery to the amp. I haven't got the money to get any extra batteries yet /:. I took the sub out one day and sat it on my box and it was on sticker that is on my box not thinking anything of it, and it started melting the sticker. Richiebailiff Posted June 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 Gain is not up high till I get extra batteries. Maybe a little over a quarter. I think I set it at 6 clicks. Bass boosted is completely off. And I didn't damage my first one from clipping, but I didn't know that clipping would make it get that hot. Richiebailiff Posted June 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 10, 2014 I drive a Mercedes c230 kompressor and it is a hatch back and I'm in florida so sun is on the sub often, but when I leave the car for long periods of time I cover it with a towel unless it's dark out.
