matt.b Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Alright guys yesterday my new amp came in so I went to my car unplugged the negative and swapped it for my old one. when I went and plugged the negative back on and the fuse blew so this morning I went to the audio shop bought a new fuse and blew that one as well equipment is knukonceptz 0/1 200a anl fuse from knu C2 audio recon 1.6 Stock electrical

About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
alaskanzx5 Posted June 19, 2014 Report Posted June 19, 2014 Did you remove the fuse before heading hooking up the amp? if not remove the fuse fully connect the amp making sure it has a good solid connection then replace fuse. if you did how long after installing the fuse did it blow? by chance sid you pull at the wire at all? best thing to do would be to pull the whole wire out and check it for cuts/tears. Make sure none of the wiring is grounding out. Check the amp by hooking it up in a different car.
