Lower impedance = more power = more spl (usually) so wiring everything in parallel is going to the loudest, but its not always that easy. You need to make sure the amp is stable at that ohm load and you need to be sure your electrical is strong enough to run that amp at that impedance.
Ritch40 Posted June 25, 2014 Author Report Posted June 25, 2014 yes MrSkippy is correct,i did see that on a video. and yes, you can take 4 dvc 2ohm per coil subs with each sub wired in parallel and get 1 ohm at the amp. just have to create a series between 1 pair of subs to get a 2 ohm load then at the amp the 2 pairs come together for 1 ohm. to me it does make sense that spl and maybe sq to be better if both coils on a given sub are doing the same thing. now if that isnt correct, please....straighten me out. thanks
