Question about Sundown recommended box specs - E8V3 (2)

So I downloaded Sketchup and pulled up the spec and cut sheet for the E8 dual box.

I need my box to be maybe 4 or 5 inches shorter height wise. Can I take out 5 inches from the height and just add that back in to the length of the box.

Will this mess up the port lengths and change where the box is tuned?

I have plenty room width and length wise it's just the height that is too much.

for your questions none of what you mentioned would work. just out up a thread in the enclosures section, put up your max demenstions and I am sure some one would be nice enough to make you a design

I am not sure what's up with these sketchup diagrams on Sundown's site. It's the same cutout sheet for the E8, SD-2 8 and the SA8. Maybe these diagrams are just giving a general idea but i am sure they each require different specs to run effectively.

I built my first box (first one ever) a few weeks ago for a couple of SD-2 8's i have on order and I just used a combo of youtube, forum posts and torres. There's alot of info out there for box building...even for specific drivers like the E8's.

I made a thread like you suggested. I also found a website...The Box Guy....looks very good.
