Zak.vr6
Omg well after some thought of my build on the box some of my old music lacked the lows and rumble I loved, I put it down to only being a cheap 8" I need to say thanks to couple of guys on here first one who said the port was way too big on the DC audio section and the second to the TLine box wright up This is what I did And gosh the sound completely changed on the bass side and gone down and felt a moment of joy/ecstasy lol But obviously as the hz shifted lower it sounded slightly lower I had the bass level set to just before the sub bottomed out distorted Well gain was set to 2.5v on amp and now it's on 1.5v and it's amazing. How some thing so simple makes a huge difference So after a quick search I found this http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 So off to get some MDF and see how low this sub can go Once a get the hang of using audacity will post up the mathematics tuned hz in comparison to actual played Long winded but feel like an excited kid again
Zak.vr6
There is a small pice of wood wedged in with the material the total port length is 23inces The box is tuned down to 28hz sub sonic filter at 30hz iirc a 24db. Slope and low pass cross over at 38hz with a 12db slope The sub struggles with anything below 23hz Had a dip at 80hz and bit above but fixed when I moved sub facing back So it's ok for now Just need more volume now
