slowfkncar Posted July 7, 2014 Report Share Posted July 7, 2014 The only thing questionable is 12sq.inches of port per cube after displacement. This is for an exo 15? 45 sq.inches at 4 cubes? Try it. As for myself,i would rather have a 3.25" or 3.5" port at 30hz. Should be around 55sq.inches of port. slowfkncar Posted July 7, 2014 Report Share Posted July 7, 2014 L-33 w-3.25 = 30hz 50sq inches of port with a sub displacement of 0.21. This should have good output at 25-35hz. It will play to 20hz with decent output for a single 15. Your going to have to fine tune your ssf after enclosure positioning so you know how low it will play. Tuning lower is tricky sometimes, in certain cars you will bearly gain any output. For example,when i had my enclosure in the trunk firing forward all the way back to the trunk lid (not sealed off) i lost output at 20hz going from 30hz to 25hz. After i properly sealed off my enclosure from the trunk i can now do 142db @ 20hz vs the 130 in the trunk. The cabin has ALOT to do with low end extension. slowfkncar Posted July 8, 2014 Report Share Posted July 8, 2014 If you are inverting the woofer,you will have less port area,therfore go with 3.5" width port at 34". Later down the line if you would like to add power,all you have to do is flip the sub,giving you slightly more port area and mechanical handling. Should sound good and i wouldnt doubt a 140 @ 30hz.
