Whats up guys. think i got a box design i like. just want you guys to look at it real quick. i want to be ready in 2 weeks and the box i really want will take longer.allot longer if done the way i want!

so here is what i Want for a lil bit.

w=26

d=27

h=17 (but i want the inside to be 15.5 inches tall. so top and bottom will be recessed)

port height 15.5

port width 3

port length 34 for a tuning of 28hz

should be a lil over 5cubic ft gross.

any input is greatly appreciated, and if someone would make Me a cut sheet i would preform fellatio. haha well id be very thankful!

the sub will be on 2 ct 1400.1 @1ohm daily.

so you guys can get a idea of power. i can go bigger but don't want to go much smaller.

if all looks good I'm gonna start this weekend

thanks guys

The only thing questionable is 12sq.inches of port per cube after displacement. This is for an exo 15? 45 sq.inches at 4 cubes? Try it.

As for myself,i would rather have a 3.25" or 3.5" port at 30hz. Should be around 55sq.inches of port. My music is typically in the 25-35hz range.and can still hair trick below tuning with a single 15.

see this is why i post! i thought 46sq of port would do it. but your right! i should go bigger huh? let Me rerun with 3.5 and find port length.

everything else seem ok?

with a width of 3.5 and a port length of 33inches Would give me 30hz

that seem better?

i know it's a temp box (depending on how much i like it) but this Sub has a lot to live up to and don't want to disappoint!

L-33 w-3.25 = 30hz 50sq inches of port with a sub displacement of 0.21. This should have good output at 25-35hz. It will play to 20hz with decent output for a single 15. Your going to have to fine tune your ssf after enclosure positioning so you know how low it will play. Tuning lower is tricky sometimes, in certain cars you will bearly gain any output. For example,when i had my enclosure in the trunk firing forward all the way back to the trunk lid (not sealed off) i lost output at 20hz going from 30hz to 25hz. After i properly sealed off my enclosure from the trunk i can now do 142db @ 20hz vs the 130 in the trunk. The cabin has ALOT to do with low end extension.

sorry should have posted more.

car 02 Pontiac grand prix gt.

the rear seats have a rather large ski hole.

13w 16tall is the ski hole.

magnet out sub and port facing ski hole a good foot away from the ski hole opening.

i listen to everything! but i love low low lower bass! if i could hit 20hz i would be more then happy!

anything bass heavy is what i like. but i do listen to some normal music somethings. sublime, jbt, tool.. ya know stuff with lyrics

If you are inverting the woofer,you will have less port area,therfore go with 3.5" width port at 34". Later down the line if you would like to add power,all you have to do is flip the sub,giving you slightly more port area and mechanical handling. Should sound good and i wouldnt doubt a 140 @ 30hz.

I'm not gonna be chasing numbers. just loud impressive and musical. the box will change tho. i have a kid and one car.. need the best of both worlds. so all in All I'm looking good?

wish i had torres for the cut sheet tho!

ok, so i think i got it all drawn out.

width= 26inches

depth=27inches

height=17inches

port height=15.5inches

port width=3.5inches

port length=33inches

do you think 2 1/2 inch bracing will be enough? i Can add more.

cut sheet

top/bottom x2) 26x27.5 (double baffle front)

front back x3) 26x15.5

sides x2) 25.5x 15.5

port wall #1 21.5x 15.5

port wall #2 9x15.5
