SQL50
I know you can add a 2nd woofer to a preexisting sub as long as it's the same brand, model, etc etc. I have a sub that I bought new, and it's been played roughly 4 months and is fully broken in, at least I believe it is, the suspension loosened up. I can't remember how long that took, a month or two? It kept loosening up and loosening up. I really don't know the full break in period. Its the newest P3 15 model. I want to get another one and make a single chamber box for it. Here's the question. When I put the new sub in the same box as the other one, how do I know when both suspensions on the subs match before I drop them into the new box? SQL50
Let me clarify. When I put the new sub in the box that the other sub was in, how do I know when both suspensions on the subs match before I drop them into the new box?
OrionStang
Just hook them up and play them. The new one may be tight for a bit, but it will catch up. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
SQL50
So the subs being off balance won't damage the components in them?
OrionStang
Nope. All you'll notice is how it sounds better and better as the new sub loosens up. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
