Hey Krackin once again me friend thanx Bro? for the advice I'm going to go with the 3.1 sealed gross because with basket displacement that's very close to your 2.5 spec. And go with your 5 cub gross spec for the ported side. Now what are you mutipling x the ported side volume to get the square inch opening?

This should get pretty close to what is needed for the port area.

It doesn't matter if you box is 2 cbft or 6 cbft you still need the same port area.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

I really have no clue, because I haven't had a chance to use your vehicle with your sub in a 4th order.

The best I can offer is to just try something, see how it works out and go from there.
