RobM. Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 I'm looking at upgrading my 2013 Hyundai elantra gls. I'm getting RF p165-s door speakers front and rear powered by a RF 300 x 4 prime amp. A 12" p3 powered by a RF 500 x 1 bd power. With this would It be required to have a aftermarket unit for clarity? Or could I use a signal processor? I like the clean look of the factor stereo, and not loosing the ipod hook-up location.
poorfish88 Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 AudioControl lc6i is what I use. They make great products and there even still made the the US. LC6i fixes shitty factory stereos, most factory radios when you turn the volume up it turns the bass down.

SSadam Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 I can't speak for your exact head unit, but I have an 07 Trailblazer SS. I used a memphis crossover with nigh pass inputs to run my first sub setup off of the factory bose system. When I swapped that out for an aftermarket head unit, it made a BIG difference in sound.
RobM. Posted July 27, 2014 Author Report Posted July 27, 2014 Awesome guys thanks. May look at an aftermarket if I find the right one.
