Call Me Dubstep
Not sure if a 2200 watt amp would be too much for my FI Audio Q 18 to handle... but thought I would make sure... and does anyone know how much it actually puts out, True RMS? Also What kind of electrical would I need... I haven't herd from Mechman on an alternator quote.... I sent it in 2 weeks ago... haven't herd a word back... I know I need a big 3 upgrade and 1/0 run back. Is there anything really else that I need? 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff... LemonyGuy
Not a pro but the amp will put out power. Like I said no pro but you will definitely need the big 3 and a big battery in the truck and hood. Might need a bigger alt, but wait for other people too. truthsayer
You never stated if the sub was DVC1 ohm or DVC2 ohm. You have to also remember fi coils are .7 ohm or 1.4 ohm. truthsayer

truthsayer
So you can either wire it to .7 or 2.8 ohms. If you have right electrical to support the amp, most likely you could wire to .7 if you go easy on the gain, i would go about a 1/8 to a 1/4 below the clipping point. But if you want to play it on the safe side, just run it at 2.8 ohms. truthsayer

OrionStang
At the very least add another battery. That sub can take the amp just fine, just watch voltage until you get an alt. Don't get the Bosch. Have you tried contacting any other alt builders? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Also, funny thing is, my car only tells me when i have low voltage or something with the battery light... so I will have to order a volt meter. 2000 Ford Focus ZX3 Mods: Raceland Coilovers Borla Exhaust Aftermarket Header System: Sony CDX-GT66UPW Pioneer 6x8's System Upgrades : Pioneer MVH-X560BT 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683's Fi Audio Q 18" D2 ( Currently Own) DD M1C ( Currently Own) All SHCA Wires and stuff...
