SnowDrifter
I got a DGAF attitude and popped one of these open Rubber encasing the PCB. Pick it off (takes patience) And there it is! Note the trim potentiometer towards the lower right, just above the red capacitor. Counter clockwise will reduce power output, clockwise will increase it Since I don't have a clamp meter small enough to accurately measure the output amperage... I'm going to measure the input amperage to the ballast and infer results from that. Voltage measured at the ballasts is a constant 13.8v Before After. Note that turning the potentiometer further clockwise netted no gain. The difference in brightness between before and after is not noticeable. I could turn it down, sure. 10w hids ftw lol. But as far as getting any more "oomph" out of these... I wouldn't get your hopes up. They are cheap enough that I suspect there is a bottleneck elsewhere in the circuitry. And output voltage for giggles. I forgot to measure a "before" since I was focused on the input amperage ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
